Product Engineer, Foundations Team

Responsibilities

• Build product features end-to-end, from web UI to distributed services back end
• Evaluate and integrate critical third-party software and infrastructure including the payments stack
• Challenge the team to automate, improve process, simplify, raise the bar for quality
• Help shape the engineering culture of the company
• Have a voice in early technology and implementation choices

Requirements

• 4-10+ years experience working with first-class engineering teams with a proven track record of frequent delivery of quality software to production
• Experienced working on business-critical services
• Owned the full lifecycle of solutions from ideation, to delivery, to iteration
• Substantial experience with server-side programming, variety of databases (Postgres, DynamoDB), messaging, REST and APIs in general, distributed systems
• Experience with modern web development, in TypeScript
• Extensive experience working in cross-functional agile teams in collaboration with product and design
• Hands-on knowledge developing applications in the cloud (preferably AWS)
• Proven history of delivering complex, highly available and scalable distributed systems
• Pragmatic and get stuff done
• Passionate about building amazing products for customers
• Able to work independently with little oversight or management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation

Salary range: $160,000 - $215,000 annually

Equity grant: commensurate with level
