Product Data Analyst
Leads data collection, analysis, and interpretation to drive product strategy and execution for payment gateway, creating dashboards, roadmaps, and forecasting models. Collaborates with product, engineering, and sales teams requiring 3+ years experience, bachelor's degree, and proficiency in Tableau, PowerBI, BigQuery, and dbt.
Responsibilities
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to drive product strategy, adoption, and execution for the payment gateway.
- Create and own data roadmaps to increase product performance transparency for stakeholders.
- Manage data analytics dashboards to track KPIs and deliver actionable insights to product managers.
- Monitor data accuracy, support proactive investigation, and handle ad-hoc reporting including customer surveys, product usage, and market research.
- Conduct opportunity sizing analyses, develop forecasting models, and present data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data Insights to design analytics framework for experimentation, A/B testing, and advanced modeling.
- Analyze large transaction datasets to uncover trends across channels and payment methods (card, ACH, P2P).
- Define, track, and review KPI metrics with monthly, quarterly, and yearly cadences.
- Respond to performance inquiries, communicate issues, and drive resolutions.
- Monitor transaction data integrity, investigate anomalies, and define data collection points.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders on regular cadences and inspect quarterly OKRs.
- Promote analytical approach and data-led experimentation.
- Identify and automate inefficient processes.
- Ensure financial reporting accuracy, facilitate reconciliations, and optimize settlements.
- Stay up-to-date on data science and contribute to data analytics guild.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 3+ years experience in a technical financial services role involving data analysis.
- Passion for data-driven decision making, spotting trends and anomalies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex financial systems.
- Track record of proactive issue-response and initiative progression.
- Strong written/verbal communication and business acumen for cross-functional collaboration.
- Independent work ethic in fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience documenting SOPs for data ingestion, processing, and reporting.
- Interest in data science and establishing data discipline.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience building data pipelines (ELT) via Fivetran, BigQuery, dbt or similar.
