About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own PrizePicks’ brand performance measurement end to end: design and run studies, synthesize findings, write recommendations, and follow changes through to product, brand, or growth decisions
  • Own the cultural intelligence program: surveys, social and cultural listening, online communities, and qualitative work that surfaces shifts in fan behavior, gaming, sports, and adjacent subcultures
  • Run quant and qual studies hands-on: design, program, field, and QA brand tracking, segmentation, sizing, and concept/message testing in Qualtrics or comparable tools
  • Conduct qualitative research: IDIs, focus groups, digital ethnography, communities, concept testing, and synthesis of social and cultural artifacts
  • Synthesize outputs that drive business performance: define what is happening, why it matters, and what leadership should do next or stop doing
  • Create strong project briefs that frame business problems as research solutions and push past surface-level requests to underlying decisions
  • Partner directly with leaders across Product, Design, Brand & Marketing, Retention & Lifecycle, Strategy, and Analytics; recommend what to accelerate, deprioritize, or stop

Requirements

  • 7+ years in market research or consumer insights with evidence of moving business decisions, dollars, or directions through work owned end to end
  • Equal command of quant and qual methods; hands-on experience designing and running brand performance trackers
  • Proficiency programming studies in Qualtrics (or similar), moderating communities, running digital ethnography, and synthesizing social listening using Quid, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, or similar
  • Working fluency with qualitative platforms (ListenLabs, dscout, Suzy), statistical tools (R or Python), and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • AI fluency: active use of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini in research work with a point of view on how AI changes insights
  • Strong storytelling skills: move findings from data to business implication quickly; create compelling artifacts readable by SVPs and executable by ICs
  • Highly collaborative yet accountable: build alignment without softening recommendations; comfortable challenging stakeholders at any level

  • Experience in daily fantasy, gaming, sports, sports media, or adjacent fan-driven consumer categories
  • Track record of building or scaling research operations: processes, templates, trackers, dashboards, or self-serve tools
  • Clear point of view on effective brand performance and cultural research with history of pushing back on low-impact requests
