Front-End Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Work with Product Managers to understand requirements for new features in location services.
• Build features using React and TypeScript.
• Improve architectural strategy for front-end or backend to meet velocity needs.
• Review code from other engineers and submit your own for review via pull-request process.
• Meet with Product Designers to explain technical constraints.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to document feature requirements.
• Write clear, concise technical documentation.
• Test new technologies and discuss improvements to codebase and engineering practices.
• Nurture engineering culture focused on code quality and speed.

What You’ll Need

• At least 4 years professional experience using React and TypeScript in production.
• Comfortable with agile development and thoroughly testing your own code.
• Write clear, concise code and intuitive documentation.
• Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, Agile methodologies.
• Deep experience designing and building infrastructure for complex cloud-based software applications (preferably AWS or Azure).
• Knowledge of or experience with microservices architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks, HTML, CSS, interest in new FE technologies.
• Knowledge of web architecture concepts including HTTP and REST.

Compensation

• Target base annual salary: $130,000-$160,000.
• Plus bonus, stock options, health insurance, PTO, 401k.
