Responsibilities
- Deliver the conversational assistant experience from prototype through production.
- Build a frontend framework that defines what agents can do and see across Farther surfaces.
- Design a renderer that converts model output into validated, submittable interfaces.
- Negotiate and version the wire contract with the agent backend team; enforce it with tests.
- Design, document, and improve developer-facing APIs and tooling.
- Mentor engineers and establish a high quality bar through code review.
Requirements
- 6+ years building production web applications, including significant frontend engineering experience.
- Expert frontend engineering skills and strong experience with strict typing.
- Production experience with LLMs, including agentic systems, tool calling, streaming responses, and conversational interfaces.
- Strong understanding of modular, scalable frontend composition patterns.
- Distributed-systems fundamentals, including timeouts, retries, idempotency, and failure isolation.
- Strong product judgment, ownership, documentation, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, Git-based pull requests, and automated review.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and meet deadlines.
