About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build the frontend for the default open-source chat interface, enterprise search platform, and agent builder.
  • Create beautiful core search and chat experience (animations, speed, etc.).
  • Implement features like workspace search, internet search, code interpreter, artifacts, deep research.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team + founders.
  • Set frontend priorities and best practices.
  • Build an exceptional design / frontend engineering culture.
  • Foster an open-source community; guide contributors on adding to the frontend.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of frontend engineering experience building complex, user-facing applications.
  • High standards for your work and others.
  • In-depth experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NextJS and other modern frontend technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong product/design intuition.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiar with Python, Postgres.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Previous founder or early engineer at seed/series-A startup.
