Android Engineer, Terminal
Build and enhance Android applications, SDKs, and operating-system components for Stripe Terminal devices. The role requires at least two years of Android development experience and proficiency in one or more listed programming languages.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Android apps and SDKs in Kotlin.
- Develop Android payment applications for a variety of devices and form factors.
- Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the company to bring new features and products to mobile users.
- Collaborate with Android developers working on Stripe mobile apps and Stripe Terminal to establish Android development best practices across the company.
- Work with user research and product design to understand users and address their needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Android development.
- Experience with at least one of Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C, Go, or Python.
Nice-to-haves
- Payments expertise or knowledge.
- Backend infrastructure or services experience.
- Ability to listen well, internalize ideas across the organization, and set an inspiring vision.
- Preference for simple, lasting, and scalable solutions and designs.
