Responsibilities
- Become an expert in internal users’ workflows and share that understanding with the team and company.
- Simplify complex processes, systems, datasets, and workflows into intuitive product experiences.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities, and product problems.
- Conduct customer research to understand the reasons behind observed data and workflows.
- Define ambiguous problems, create alignment, and establish a path forward.
- Lead projects from 0 to 1, including problem identification, alignment, solution design, and shipping.
- Balance pragmatic near-term solutions with scalable systems for the future.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in complex logistical or quantitative domains.
- Data fluency and comfort using data to understand problems, make decisions, and improve experiences.
- Systems-thinking approach to workflows, data, people, and systems.
- Customer empathy and willingness to deeply understand users’ real workflows.
- Curiosity and ability to become an expert in unfamiliar domains.
- Motivation to improve healthcare workflows and help clinicians spend less time on manual work.
- Ability to uphold security requirements and maintain HIPAA compliance.
