Responsibilities
- Build and operate market data components, including feed handlers, normalization, distribution, and venue connectivity.
- Design low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time market data used by trading systems.
- Improve reliability and performance through observability, on-call participation, and incident response.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and raise engineering quality standards on a lean team.
- Partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver market data capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building and maintaining production low-latency systems.
- Hands-on experience with market data systems, including feed handlers, normalization, or distribution.
- Proficiency in low-latency Java or C++ and high-throughput messaging such as Aeron or SBE.
- Familiarity with venue or exchange connectivity and market data protocols, including FIX, ITCH/OUCH, and multicast.
- Track record of delivering features end-to-end and operating production systems.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $207,485–$244,100 USD.
- Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
