Senior individual contributor responsible for architecting and scaling production data ingestion systems that integrate complex enterprise sources into reliable datasets. Requires 5+ years of backend engineering experience, strong Python, cloud, Kubernetes, Postgres, and data integration expertise.

Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture for data ingestion, including pipelines, schema mapping, validation, transformation, and orchestration from source systems to production-ready datasets.
- Build and harden backend services and cloud infrastructure for fast, repeatable, and observable manufacturer onboarding.
- Solve integrations with enterprise warranty, telematics, ERP, and service systems containing inconsistent schemas and unreliable delivery.
- Establish data quality and reliability standards, including validation, lineage, monitoring, and alerting.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams on the technical vision and roadmap for data onboarding workflows.
- Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design documentation, and technical direction.
- Mentor engineers on data architecture and system design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Deep, recent hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong cloud architecture experience designing, deploying, and operating distributed production services.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Deep experience with Postgres and relational data modeling, including performance, migrations, and production-scale schema design.
- Experience solving data integration problems involving heterogeneous sources and unstructured or inconsistent inputs.
- Technical mentorship experience.
- Ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and balance MVP delivery with production-grade systems.
