Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Growth

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery for business-critical services supporting customer acquisition, onboarding, account lifecycle management, and revenue operations.
• Define architecture for high-throughput, fault-tolerant metering and billing pipelines, balancing correctness, latency, cost, and operability.
• Partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, and Support to translate business needs into scalable, auditable systems.
• Build account lifecycle flows covering activation, expansion, billing, suspension, dunning, plan and SKU changes, and offboarding.
• Integrate and reconcile revenue data across CRM, support, analytics, BI, billing, and other business systems.
• Design customer-facing usage APIs, cost reporting, and billable-action metrics.
• Ensure data integrity, reliability, compliance, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and operational readiness.
• Improve developer and customer experience through automation, tooling, and platform improvements.
• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, and operational standards.
• Mentor engineers and support effective cross-functional execution.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and delivering production-grade backend systems, ideally in cloud environments, with ownership of architecture and operational outcomes.
• Strong proficiency in a systems or backend programming language; Go is preferred.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems, including concurrency, reliability, scaling, consistency, and failure handling.
• Practical understanding of data pipelines and storage systems such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Kinesis, and S3-like systems.
• Experience integrating and reconciling third-party SaaS platforms, including idempotency, drift detection, and recovery from upstream inconsistencies.
• Experience with observability, incident response, performance tuning, on-call readiness, and continuous delivery.
• Ability to translate ambiguous cross-functional requirements into executable technical plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including design documentation and technical tradeoff discussions.
• Builder mindset focused on simplifying complex workflows, improving tooling, and maintaining systems.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated pay range: $176,000–$231,000.
• Eligible to participate in the company equity plan.
