About the role

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source real-world datasets, clinical trial datasets, and biobank resources needed to validate the platform's performance in a new tumor type.
  • Help design the evidence-generation plan (retrospective validation, prospective studies, biomarker correlation analyses) to support validation in a new tumor type.
  • Build and manage a network of relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and research collaborators to stress-test clinical hypotheses, shape study design, and identify potential trial sites, co-authors, and early clinical champions.
  • Translate emerging clinical and scientific findings into internal knowledge (memos, evidence summaries, draft manuscripts/abstracts, medical affairs collateral) that will inform future medical affairs and commercial teams.
  • Partner with engineering and research teams, translating clinical and biological context (endpoints, staging, standard-of-care nuances, patient population definitions) into requirements for clinical-grade model development.

Requirements

  • Preferred: PhD or a Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strongly preferred: 2+ years of experience in clinical development, clinical research, medical affairs, translational research, or clinical operations within biotech, pharma, or diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial design, biobank/dataset landscapes, or evidence-generation planning (e.g., retrospective validation studies, biomarker studies).
  • Strong soft skills and the ability to speak to varied audiences, from clinical KOLs to software engineers.
  • Optional but preferred: experience presenting scientific content at conferences or in clinical settings.
  • Bias for action, ability to form independent thought on complex topics where you don't have a lot of information and will have to trust your intuition, thinking from first principles.
