About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal knowledge databases, draft EU stakeholder maps, and support automation of issue tracking
  • Evaluate EU policy and legislative developments, understand impact on Cloudflare products, attend relevant events (e.g. European Parliament, conferences), and provide internal updates
  • Develop talking points, policy narratives, and presentation materials for external events, meetings, company blog, position papers, and consultation responses
  • Compile materials for sales and marketing teams to respond to policy-related customer questions
  • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, officials from European Institutions, and in national markets
  • Engage with business and civil society entities, including trade associations
  • Provide daily/real-time and other updates to Public Policy, Legal, Trust & Safety, and other internal stakeholders

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Active, self-starting individual with academic background and strong curiosity about business topics: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Connectivity/Telecoms, Content policy, Privacy issues
  • Previous work or internship experience within a technology company, trade association, or an EU institution working on relevant policy topics
  • Perfect command of English (written and oral)

  • Strong technical aptitude and curiosity to develop, leverage, and automate internal AI tools to scale the team’s impact

Compensation

  • For Belgium based hires: Estimated annual salary starts at €33,000
  • Eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan
