About the role
Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day performance, quality, and output of the Court Filing team across multiple California courts and jurisdictions.
Manage workload distribution and prioritization, ensuring rush and VIP filings are handled urgently and service-level agreements are met.
Coach and develop team members through feedback, training, and performance conversations.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals and KPIs, and hold the team accountable to quality and productivity standards.
Serve as the team’s source of California court filing expertise, including county-level requirements, mandatory cover sheets, tentative ruling procedures, courtesy copies, e-service rules, and local practices.
Audit case files, data entry, and eFiling submissions to identify errors before they reach courts or clients.
Own escalation and incident reporting for complex filing issues; identify root causes and implement preventive fixes.
Track rejection trends and workflow bottlenecks and create or refine SOPs and playbooks.
Liaise with Account Executives, Account Managers, Billing, and other internal stakeholders.
Own KPI and SLA reporting for the Court Filing team.
Lead hiring, onboarding, and ramp planning, including interviews and training-material development.
Partner with Training and Development on onboarding curriculum and ongoing training.
Own the court-filing portion of new-client onboarding, including data entry and account setup.
Maintain fluency with Tyler Odyssey/File & Serve, LegalConnect, One Legal, Greenfile, and InfoTrack.
Partner with Litigation Support leadership on special projects and process improvements, including expansion beyond California.
Invest in team morale and engagement.
Requirements
5+ years of California court filing or eFiling operations experience, with county-level knowledge of Superior Court requirements.
5+ years in a management or leadership role, ideally overseeing a filing, legal operations, or litigation support team.
Experience managing a high-volume, multi-jurisdiction caseload with consistent quality, accuracy, and SLA performance.
Hands-on experience with eFiling platforms such as Tyler Odyssey/File & Serve, LegalConnect, One Legal, Greenfile, or InfoTrack.
Experience building and maintaining SOPs, playbooks, and training materials.
Strong coaching and people-management skills, including direct feedback and performance conversations.
Emotional intelligence and a people-first leadership style.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
A track record of process improvement based on audits, rejection trends, and incident reports.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000–$130,000
