Legal Operations Analyst

Manages day-to-day legal operations across intake, contract lifecycle systems, signatures, documentation, entity maintenance, compliance support, and vendor coordination. The role requires 4–8 years of operational experience, strong process-building skills, and familiarity with legal technology such as DocuSign, Ironclad, and Jira.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the legal intake system, triage incoming requests, route them to the appropriate owner, and track follow-ups.
  • Identify and pilot AI-native approaches to legal operations and support adoption of enterprise AI tools.
  • Manage day-to-day CLM operations, including automated workflows for NDAs, vendor agreements, and commercial contracts.
  • Support AI and MCP capabilities for self-service contract data queries and trend analysis.
  • Maintain an organized, searchable legal document repository and document standard operating procedures.
  • Manage Legal team new-hire onboarding, templates, playbooks, and training materials.
  • Track and report legal operations metrics, including request volume, turnaround times, and outside counsel spend.
  • Support entity management and corporate filings, coordinating with vendors and counsel.
  • Assist with ESG and regulatory compliance execution, including data gathering, tracking, and reporting.
  • Support outside counsel and vendor management, including billing and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate signatures, monitor pending documents, and follow up with signatories.
  • Manage the DocuSign environment, including envelopes, templates, permissions, and integrations.
  • Arrange document notarization when needed.
  • Promote legal processes and build self-service resources for cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in legal operations, business operations, contracts management, or a similar operational role in a technology company or law firm.
  • Hands-on systems experience, ideally as a workflow designer or administrator.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Ironclad, Jira, and Google Suite is strongly preferred.
  • Broad operational experience spanning systems, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong process-building, organizational, time-management, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume, balance competing demands, and work effectively amid ambiguity.
  • Professional judgment, integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and interest in developing scalable ways of working.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high-growth technology company or autonomous-systems or defense environment.
  • Experience with entity management and corporate filings.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms and outside counsel management.
  • Experience sourcing and implementing legal technology solutions.
  • Active California Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one.
