Leads architectural direction, owns full-stack features from design through production, and mentors engineers while integrating AI capabilities into scalable customer-facing products. Responsibilities
- Integrate the latest AI models into customer-facing features and workflows at scale.
- Drive architectural decisions and set technical direction across the team.
- Solve complex problems and transform them into business solutions.
- Own features end-to-end, from design through production.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Support the engineering manager on team-level technical decisions.
- Work with Python, MySQL, React, AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Work in an agile environment focused on well-structured code, testing, and continuous integration.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other development team members.
- Assess the technical feasibility of product increments, suggest implementation options, and follow the development lifecycle through release.
- Design and build tools and frameworks to automate development, testing, deployment, management, and monitoring of services and products.
- Create reliable software and networking platforms and maintain well-organized code.
- Plan and scale distributed software and applications using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns.
- Track, document, and maintain software and network system functionality while improving engineering productivity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack development, preferably with React and Python or a comparable language such as Java or Node.js, including developing, maintaining, and deploying software.
- Proven track record of driving architectural decisions and technical direction.
- Experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ability to proactively identify problems in existing systems or products and propose solutions.
- Solid knowledge of cloud computing, especially AWS.
- Ability to understand a codebase and drive improvements, such as migrating to modern frameworks.
- Experience working in an agile development environment, preferably at a startup or dynamic technology company.
- Interest in AI technology and current trends and advancements is an advantage.
- Strong English and Hungarian communication skills.
