About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy AV systems and equipment, including audio and video conferencing systems, displays, microphones, and control systems.
  • Manage AV infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted AV services.
  • Support remote, executive and in-person events, including setup, testing, and operation of AV equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, event planners, and vendors to determine AV requirements.
  • Assist executives and presenters with AV setup and troubleshooting during industry conferences and high-profile events.
  • Stay updated with the latest AV technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions and create user documentation for AV systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and system optimizations.
  • Monitor and analyze AV performance metrics and propose improvements.
  • Occasional business travel required (approximately 15%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Mac OS proficiency and Windows OS familiarity for remote troubleshooting.
  • 8+ years experience using AV and Events software such as Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Established understanding of troubleshooting signal flow for conference rooms.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard equipment (Crestron, Neat, Logitech, etc.).
  • Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP) or Extron AV Associate certification.
  • Event Technology Specialist (ETS) certification.
  • AVIXA CTS-D and CTS-I certifications.
  • Certifications for hardware manufacturers (Shure, Crestron, Chief, QSC, Biamp).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or similar.
  • Google Workplace Certification.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours.
  • Previous experience with remote event support and virtual meeting platforms.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow.
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Microsoft equivalent.
  • Advanced certification in specific AV technologies.
