About the role
Responsibilities
Own the experience of the iOS and Android mobile apps, including adapting desktop features to mobile.
Partner closely with mobile engineers and product leads on mobile-specific projects from initiation through launch.
Redesign and refine key screens and flows, as well as smaller usability issues and quality improvements.
Create mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and execution.
Guide and inspire fellow designers through collaborative critiques across mobile and desktop platforms.
Use and improve lightweight design system components.
Support hiring teammates who can elevate the team and product.
Requirements
5+ years of experience designing software, with a mobile-specific emphasis.
Strong design skills and product thinking, with the ability to engage in technical discussions.
Willingness to ask questions, experiment, and advocate for sound design decisions.
Humility and adaptability when receiving feedback and iterating toward the best solution.
Experience prototyping directly in code or with tools such as Figma or Origami.
Ability to distill problems and feedback into clear, focused solutions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly in an async environment.
