Responsibilities
- Lead a group of researchers embedded across product areas, turning user behavior and feedback into shipped decisions.
- Set strategic direction for how research connects to product decisions company-wide.
- Ensure team works on high-impact projects and insights drive outcomes.
- Partner with product, data science, and leadership to deliver research at key moments.
Requirements
- 15+ years professional experience, including 4+ years in senior leadership (Director, Head, VP) in user insights/research.
- Deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative methods: conjoint, MaxDiff, discrete choice, regression, multivariate analysis, moderated/unmoderated testing, diary studies, metric framework development.
- Build measurement approaches from first principles for ambiguous product questions.
- Experience at consumer-facing tech company with US userbase, across multiple product surfaces.
- Background in A/B experiment-heavy environments with integrated research.
- Track record developing researchers in methodology, framing, stakeholder communication.
- Represent research strategy to leadership in business outcome terms.
- Experience in resource-constrained orgs prioritizing sequencing.
- Willingness to use AI and build AI-accelerated workflows.
Compensation
$243,800 USD annually and stock options. Compensation identical within levels regardless of location.
