Director of Brand & Advocacy
Leads brand amplification strategy across social media, PR, and customer/employee advocacy channels for B2B SaaS. Manages team, develops campaigns, scales programs, and measures impact with KPIs. Requires 15+ years experience including 3+ in senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve Calendly's integrated brand amplification strategy across social, PR, and advocacy channels.
- Lead and develop team including Social Media Lead, Customer Advocacy Lead, and PR Contractor.
- Oversee social media strategy, content pillars, editorial calendars, and channel playbooks.
- Guide PR contractor on narrative, media opportunities, and messaging frameworks.
- Build and scale customer advocacy programs including reviews, testimonials, case studies, and community engagement.
- Partner with Internal Communications and Employee Experience to activate employees as brand voices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on content and campaigns.
- Establish KPIs and reporting to measure impact and optimize strategy.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 15+ years in brand, communications, or marketing roles; 3+ years in director-level leadership managing cross-functional teams.
- Track record scaling brand strategies across social media and customer advocacy; strategic direction for PR.
- Experience leading direct reports and contractor/agency relationships.
- Deep expertise in B2B social media strategy (LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
- Comfort guiding PR contractors on messaging and opportunities.
- Experience building customer advocacy or community programs.
- Data-driven with KPI establishment and insights application.
- Authorized to work in US.
Preferred Qualifications
- B2B SaaS/technology experience, ideally product-led growth.
- Familiarity with customer advocacy platforms (Influitive, Khoros).
- Experience with employee advocacy platforms (EveryoneSocial, Bambu).
- B2B tech/SaaS media relationships.
- Launching integrated brand campaigns.
- In-house and agency background.
Compensation
Tier 1: $223,835—$279,793 USD
Tier 2: $205,182—$256,477 USD
Tier 3: $186,529—$233,161 USD
Base salary plus Top Performer Bonus, equity, benefits for full-time employees (30+ hours/week).
