Senior Web Engineer, Perps
Owns the frontend of a perpetual futures trading product, building responsive interfaces for order entry, positions, market data, and related workflows. Requires 3–5+ years of frontend experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, real-time data, and financial product UIs.

Responsibilities
- Own and ship complex trading UI features end-to-end, including order books, position panels, trade history, funding rates, liquidation displays, and related interfaces.
- Work with backend engineers to design APIs, reason through real-time data flows, and build reliable trading experiences on complex exchange systems.
- Partner with QA, technical program management, product, and design teams to clarify requirements, manage launches, and improve product quality.
- Monitor dashboards, alerts, and user reports; respond to issues and work with backend and infrastructure teams during incidents to isolate root causes and implement fixes.
- Design and implement responsive, accurate UI for live market data, streaming order books, and fast-moving prices.
- Improve logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting for frontend performance visibility.
- Identify technical debt, propose pragmatic refactors, and contribute to frontend architecture and system design discussions.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of frontend web engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
- Experience building trading, exchange, or financial product UIs.
- Strong frontend system design skills across state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience with real-time data, including WebSockets, streaming APIs, or live market feeds.
- Strong debugging skills and experience responding to production issues.
- Ability to work with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, failure modes, and system behavior.
- High agency and ability to drive work to completion.
- Clear communication during planning, launches, bugs, and incidents.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience building UI for a perpetuals exchange or derivatives trading product.
- Frontend performance specialization, particularly around real-time data rendering.
- Experience in crypto, Web3, or adjacent financial infrastructure.
- Experience improving frontend observability, alerting, or reliability practices.
- Practical use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
