Senior Software Engineer (Frameworks), JavaScript SDK

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain JavaScript SDKs for frameworks including React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, Hono, and others across the modern JS ecosystem
• Work on frontend frameworks, meta-frameworks, server-side, and edge runtimes
• Plan, implement, and ship code with full end-to-end ownership
• Write robust unit and integration tests
• Create clear documentation for team and customers
• Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity
• Collaborate with TC39 and OpenTelemetry SIG on JavaScript standards
• Assist Customer Operations team with critical bugs
• Interact directly with users on GitHub and at industry conferences

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or similar role
• Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with two or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, Hono)
• Strong understanding of framework rendering models, lifecycles, and runtime environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or willing to relocate

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with edge runtimes, server components, or hybrid rendering patterns
• History of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries
• Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups
