Senior Product Designer, Funnel Conversion

The Senior Product Designer will own ezCater’s menu-to-checkout experience, including browsing, cart, checkout, group ordering, and account flows. About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the menu-to-checkout journey end to end, designing menu browsing, item selection, cart, checkout, group ordering, and account sign-up/sign-in experiences.
  • Partner with Product and Analytics on experimentation by defining hypotheses, designing tests, and interpreting results.
  • Design coherent experiences for group ordering and single-order checkout.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes.
  • Contribute to and advocate for a consistent, scalable, and accessible design system.
  • Facilitate workshops, critiques, and working sessions across Product, Engineering, and Analytics.
  • Use AI-powered tools across prototyping and research synthesis and help the broader team adopt them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, interaction designer, or similar, with visual or graphic design experience.
  • Experience designing systems across complex customer journeys, edge cases, and future functionality.
  • Ability to independently identify opportunities, frame ambiguous problems, and influence product direction.
  • Track record of shaping product priorities and solving clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency with the Figma suite, Claude Design, and prototyping tools.
  • Experience contributing to a robust design system.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team gatherings and other events.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing checkout, cart, or payment flows, including error states, payment failures, and fraud-related friction.
  • Experience designing group ordering, multi-participant, or collaborative purchasing experiences.
  • Experience in the restaurant, catering, delivery, or gig space.
  • Experience with service design, journey mapping, or complex operational workflows.
  • Experience in experimentation-heavy environments, including A/B testing.
  • Familiarity with Jobs To Be Done, systems thinking, or similar frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits

  • National total target cash compensation, including base salary and bonus target: $146,000–$187,000 annually.
  • Stock options, 12 paid holidays, flexible PTO, 401(k) with company match, health and dental insurance, FSA, long-term disability insurance, and mental health and family planning resources.
  • Remote-hybrid work from the Boston office, from home, or a combination of both.
