Indirect Tax Analyst

The Indirect Tax Analyst will manage US and international indirect tax compliance, reconciliations, audits, research, and payments while improving tax processes through automation and AI. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of public accounting or multinational corporate tax experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare indirect tax compliance filings and supporting financial information for VAT, GST, sales tax, use tax, and property tax.
  • Prepare monthly tax reconciliations and related journal entries.
  • Maintain exemption and resale certificates and tax identification information.
  • Maintain the tax calendar to support timely and accurate filings and minimize assessments and penalties.
  • Assist with tax audits and special projects.
  • Prepare and submit payment requests.
  • Reconcile data between systems to ensure integrity and accuracy.
  • Research indirect tax matters and legal updates and document conclusions.
  • Participate in calculating indirect tax reserves and budgets.
  • Drive digital transformation of the tax function through process improvements, technology, automation, and AI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of significant experience at a public accounting firm and/or in the corporate tax department of a multinational company.
  • Proficiency in Excel and AI technology.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and inquisitive approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
