Tax Operations Intern
Supports tax provisioning, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit requests, and controllership processes within Coinbase’s Tax team. The internship requires current study in accounting, finance, or a related field, analytical ability, and familiarity with US GAAP.

Responsibilities
- Own tax provisioning and financial reporting tasks, including balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures across assigned tax controllership processes.
- Build and update process documentation for recurring tasks.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned by the Tax Controller.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coursework or prior internship experience.
- Familiarity with US GAAP concepts; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-moving environment.
- Interest in digital assets and the cryptocurrency economy, with willingness to develop domain expertise.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $40 USD.
