Chief of Staff to the CEO

The Chief of Staff will make the CEO dramatically more effective by managing bandwidth and priorities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive player-coach hybrid: strategic enough to add value in pricing discussions or legislative briefings, tactical enough to ensure follow-ups happen, willing to draft policy memos or clean CRM data.

What You'll Do

  • Deal & Pipeline Support - Own CRM hygiene, prep CEO for meetings (background on agencies, legislators, procurement officers), draft follow-up emails, track opportunities.
  • AI-Driven Process Improvement - Build AI tools for monitoring legislation, meeting prep workflows, drafting assistance.
  • Strategic Research & Synthesis - Monitor NIST frameworks, legislation, competitors; synthesize into briefs.
  • Communications & Content Leverage - Draft, edit, polish memos, speaker notes, blog content.
  • Cross-Functional Gap-Filling - Handle hiring, event prep, partner integrations.
  • Travel - Willing to travel for government clients and events.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, business development, or high-ownership tech role.
  • Exceptional written communication.
  • AI-native: Workflow automation, monitoring pipelines, AI leverage.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching.
  • Familiarity with government or regulated industries (plus).
  • High agency, low ego.

Preference for NY metro area candidates; remote with frequent travel considered.
