Chief of Staff
Serves as trusted thought partner to CEO, owning executive team operations, cross-functional projects, process improvements, and AI tool implementation in high-growth healthtech environment. Requires 7-10+ years in strategy/ops/consulting with strong analytical and execution skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the operating cadence of the executive team, including leadership meetings, offsites, and board preparation; driving clear agendas, decisions, and follow-through
- Build and refine systems and processes that improve decision-making speed, organizational clarity, and execution across the office of the CEO
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, and often the cofounders and executive leadership team, on both strategic priorities and day-to-day operations
- Facilitate effective internal communication, ensuring company priorities are clearly understood and progress is consistently visible
- Lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution, particularly those that do not fit neatly within existing team structures
- Implement AI-enabled tools and workflows to increase productivity, streamline operations, and unlock leverage across teams; be an AI champion
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks early, then proactively drive solutions with hustle and humility
- Become known at Sage HQ - get to know people, the teams, how things get done at Sage, all to help provide context and insight to Raj and the executive leadership team
Minimum Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or high-growth startup environments
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, delivering measurable outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans and drive decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience supporting and influencing senior executives
- Demonstrated track record of operating with high ownership, sound judgment, attention to detail, and leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with a CEO or senior executive in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or business operations role
- Background in healthcare, healthtech (software, IoT or hardware), or other mission-driven environments
- Bachelor’s degree and an Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, Organizational Design, CPA) or equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated impact
- Track record of helping an organization scale through periods of growth, fundraising, or increasing operational complexity
- Strong business intuition with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution in fast-paced environments

- Expected annual salary range: $190,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on expertise, experience, and interview performance
