VP of Engineering - Applications

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-user-facing engineering squads, representing roughly half of the engineering organization.
• Expand engineering capacity as the company grows its customer base and market presence.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while advancing in organizational leadership.
• Mentor and coach engineers and team leaders, offering clear guidance and fostering learning.
• Manage and resolve conflicts among individuals, teams, team leaders, and peers.
• Lead distributed, remote teams using agile development practices, generally Scrumban.
• Travel periodically to spend time with the team and company.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Current hands-on technical leadership experience.
• Experience with distributed computing and deep knowledge of the cloud ecosystem.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise software development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, discovery, design, quality assurance, and support.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, communication, collaboration, conflict-resolution, and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence without relying on hierarchy or authority.
• High attention to detail, reliable communication, and sound judgment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $290,000 USD for US-based employees; local adjustments apply in other countries.
