About the role

What You Will Do

Functional Ownership: Lead and improve the strategic finance partnership across the Revenue and Marketing organizations, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders to influence and quantify key business decisions.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Develop and own financial frameworks that connect sales capacity, marketing spend, conversion, and retention to ARR growth and company-level financial targets. Drive budget planning, pacing, and forecast accuracy across GTM functions. Build models to forecast acquisition, activation, and free-to-paid conversion performance, translating funnel health into financial outcomes.

Decision Support & Business Case Development: Build robust operational and financial models for major initiatives, including ROI, LTV/CAC, and payback analysis. Quantify trade-offs between growth and profitability, and partner with Sales and Marketing leadership on scenario analysis supporting strategic initiatives, resource allocation, and investment decisions.

Performance Measurement: Design and track key GTM KPIs — including CAC, LTV/CAC, payback period, sales productivity, conversion rates, and retention efficiency. Evaluate the ROI of marketing channels, campaigns, and sales investments, partnering with Marketing Operations, RevOps, and Data teams to validate attribution and performance metrics. Support quarterly and annual GTM reviews with clear insight into spend efficiency and growth contribution.

Data & Analytics Infrastructure: Partner with Data and BI teams to define reporting requirements, build and maintain analytical datasets, and ensure Finance has reliable, scalable access to the metrics that matter. Serve as a bridge between Finance and technical data teams — and write SQL independently to pull, validate, and explore data without relying on a data team intermediary.

Team and Culture Stewardship: Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture within Finance by modeling analytical rigor, proactive communication, and cross-functional partnership. Help shape scalable processes, workflows, and tools that enable the team to operate efficiently and deliver high-quality insights as the company grows.

AI-enabled Process Improvement: Identify and spearhead opportunities to leverage AI-based tools and modern data infrastructure to streamline forecasting, automate reporting, and surface insights — helping unlock team capacity for high-impact analysis.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 9+ years of total experience, with at least 6 years in the strategic finance function within a late-stage or high-growth tech or public company environment
  • Experience in SaaS, preferably with a usage-based business model component
  • Strong understanding of GTM dynamics, including familiarity with sales capacity planning, quota setting, pipeline analysis, acquisition funnels, activation, retention, and user conversion metrics
  • Experience supporting or partnering directly with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop forecasts, evaluate spend efficiency and compensation plan design, and align incentives with company growth goals
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and growth metrics such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, blended CAC, churn, and retention cohorts
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with raw data — building, cleaning, and validating datasets — and a strong intuition for identifying data quality issues before they affect outputs
  • Advanced experience with Excel / Google Sheets, BI tools (Tableau), and / or SQL — can independently to pull, validate, and explore data without relying on a data team intermediary
  • Excellent business partnering skills, particularly with non-financial leaders; track record of advising operational and financial improvements across multiple areas of the business
  • Willingness and ability to operate at multiple levels — deep within the details and big picture — with strong awareness of when to leverage each
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous questions, identify key variables, and drive toward a successful outcome
  • Ability to story-tell with data and distill complex topics and tradeoffs into a simple framework to influence decision making
  • Bias toward action, strong work ethic, and player-coach mentality with experience driving outcomes under tight timeline
  • Extremely detail oriented, highly organized, and able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
