About the role

Responsibilities

  • Convey strategic advantages and technical applications of Snowflake Postgres capabilities to clients.
  • Articulate Postgres functionalities and compare with competitors.
  • Define client success metrics for Snowflake Postgres adoption.
  • Address discrepancies between Snowflake methodologies and client transactional requirements.
  • Provide resolutions to client objections.
  • Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations highlighting Snowflake's transactional value.
  • Explain Snowflake's security, privacy, and governance for transactional workloads.
  • Act as technical expert positioning Snowflake Postgres to customer stakeholders across Americas.
  • Collaborate with account teams on Proof of Concepts, including executive summaries and business value assessments.
  • Develop content like blog articles, conference presentations, notebooks, and demos.

Requirements

  • 5+ years Postgres architecture experience.
  • Curiosity and drive to help companies leverage Snowflake Data Cloud.
  • Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences (whiteboarding, demos).
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related preferred.
  • Knowledge of OLTP database technology (Snowflake, Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Knowledge of indexing strategies for transactional workloads.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous FCTO experience.
  • Practical database migration experience.
  • 1+ years practical Snowflake experience.
