About the role

Responsibilities

  • Grow, steer, and motivate the engineering organization, developing leaders and establishing clear goals and operating rhythms.
  • Serve as the company's technical face in senior-level meetings with government customers and C-Suite.
  • Collaborate with CEO and leadership team to develop and execute company strategy.
  • Translate business and technical strategy into an executable engineering roadmap.
  • Ensure team is resourced, structured, and focused to deliver high-quality software with reliability, performance, sustainability, and security.
  • Attract and retain exceptional talent, making the team the most AI-native telecom.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Business Development, Product, Design, Security, and Operations.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years experience, including at least one startup or growth tech company.
  • Impeccable technical chops.
  • 3+ years of people leadership, including hiring, promoting, performance management, and mentoring at least one direct report to lead.
  • Genuine excitement about privacy and defense use cases.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.

  • Telecommunications or network experience.
  • Security, privacy, or defense background.
  • Existing security clearance or willingness to obtain one.
