Senior Product Designer, Craft & Systems

What You'll Do

• Own design execution across the core platform (web, desktop, and mobile) from early discovery through production handoff.
• Set and hold a high craft standard across the team: precise visual execution, complete interaction states, clear information hierarchy, and appropriate motion. Provide specific feedback with clear rationale when reviewing work.
• Build and maintain design system foundations: shared token layer, component architecture, usage guidelines, and conventions that keep the platform coherent as it scales.
• Partner with engineering on implementation quality, ensuring the product experience for real customers.
• Establish shared navigational conventions and design standards for vertical product teams.
• Produce thorough documentation so other designers can build on decisions independently.
• Work directly with PMs and engineers to define scope and make decisions under ambiguity.
• Mentor other designers on craft, systems thinking, and technical execution.

Who You Are (Requirements)

• 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 2 years in a regulated financial environment (fintech, trading, banking, crypto, investing, etc.).
• Track record of moving metrics with specific design decisions that impacted outcomes, including clear reasoning.
• Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system (tokens, component architecture) in a product organization.
• High bar for visual craft in complex, data-dense interfaces; portfolio demonstrates visual quality and usability reinforcing each other.
• Systems thinking applied to design; understand component decisions at scale and build extensible foundations.
• Strong feedback and mentoring instincts; articulate issues clearly without taking over work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in options, futures, or equities trading products.
• Experience with token-based workflows and design-to-code handoff at a component level.
• Crypto or emerging asset class product experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $132,000 – $160,000.
• Discretionary Performance Bonus: 8-12% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
