Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing evolution of Finance Technology across Strategic Finance and FP&A, including enterprise planning, forecasting systems, planning processes, automation, reporting, and AI enablement.
- Optimize the planning technology ecosystem so systems and processes scale with the business.
- Partner with Strategic Finance and FP&A leaders to identify planning improvements and prioritize technology investments.
- Translate Finance requirements into technology roadmaps with Finance Systems, Data & Analytics Engineering, HR Systems, IT, and external vendors.
- Evaluate finance technology investments, automation opportunities, AI tools, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Automate recurring planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows.
- Establish governance and best practices for planning systems, financial models, forecasting processes, and Finance Technology.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from business case through implementation, driving alignment, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
- Evaluate generative AI and other emerging technologies for Finance workflows and decision support.
- Support strategic and ad hoc initiatives that improve Finance scalability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance Systems, Corporate Finance, Finance Transformation, or another analytical role supporting financial planning technology.
- Experience owning Finance Technology strategy, enterprise planning systems, forecasting processes, and supporting technology roadmaps.
- Experience leading enterprise planning system implementations or major enhancements.
- Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience translating Finance business requirements into technology strategy and delivering scalable solutions with cross-functional technical teams and vendors.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience evaluating Finance Technology investments, automation opportunities, and AI capabilities.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, prioritization, and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business recommendations for Finance and executive leadership.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Planful, Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, or similar enterprise planning platforms.
- Experience in technology, SaaS, healthcare, or marketplace businesses.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $195,000–$245,000 USD.
