Robot Service Technician Assistant

Supports weekend operations for an autonomous delivery robot fleet, including preparation, charging, cleaning, basic repairs, service campaigns, calibration, and field support. The entry-level role requires careful problem-solving, physical lifting ability, teamwork, and interest in robotics or electro-mechanical service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare robots for each shift by ensuring hardware and software are ready for deployment.
  • Place robots and batteries on chargers and manage power cycles for fleet readiness.
  • Clean robots while protecting sensitive external hardware.
  • Assist with and perform basic mechanical repairs on the robot fleet.
  • Help implement hardware and software service campaigns across the fleet.
  • Assist remote support coordinators as the hands-on field contact.
  • Perform calibrations and wheel alignment to tune sensors and chassis components.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in varied field environments.
  • Ability to safely lift and move items over 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented approach with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • General computer literacy.
  • Introductory experience or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Part-time weekend schedule, generally approximately 16 hours per weekend across Saturday and Sunday.
  • Weekly pay through a staffing partner.
  • No relocation, sponsorship, or remote work options.
