About the role
Responsibilities
Lead a team responsible for facilities maintenance—including building operations, janitorial, landscaping and grounds, and general maintenance—for an assigned portfolio of Memphis campus buildings.
Oversee building HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and electrical systems, including basic transformers.
Manage the work-ticketing system to ensure appropriate staffing and timely responses to break/fix requests.
Manage third-party service providers to ensure services meet corporate standards and contract terms.
Partner with the construction team to develop, plan, and execute site-improvement projects.
Administer preventive-maintenance and break/fix programs for assigned buildings and grounds.
Develop and implement on-call, after-hours support for facility troubleshooting and emergency repairs.
Coach, develop, and hold technicians accountable to safety, quality, and response-time standards.
Control maintenance costs, maintain vendor competitiveness, and ensure assigned buildings meet appearance and functionality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or supply chain.
5+ years of professional experience in facilities engineering or project management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience managing budgets and third-party vendors.
Experience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs.
Experience with asset-management or CMMS/work-order software.
Knowledge of building-management and automated facilities-monitoring systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, generators, or related equipment.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, anticipate needs, and develop continuous-improvement solutions.
Experience leading technicians or trades in an office, industrial, or campus environment.
Must be based at the Memphis, TN campus.
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed and provide 24/7 on-call support for critical facility activities and emergencies.
Supervises facilities maintenance across an assigned Memphis data center campus area, leading technicians, vendors, work orders, preventive maintenance, and building-system operations.
