About the role
What You'll Do
Own product analytics across PostHog and related tools
Build dashboards for signup quality, activation, retention, expansion, churn, and PLG-to-sales conversion
Segment users by persona, use case, company type, behavior, API usage, and revenue potential
Run A/B tests across onboarding, docs, lifecycle emails, pricing, packaging, and activation flows
Identify which API features and use cases drive the strongest retention and expansion
Interview customers and translate usage into clear personas and product insights
Build lifecycle campaigns that help users get to value faster
Partner with engineering to improve docs, examples, templates, SDK flows, and first-run experience
Partner with revenue to identify high-intent accounts and expansion opportunities
What We're Looking For
Obsessive about funnels, product behavior, event tracking, and user intent
Experience working on PLG, growth, product, analytics, or lifecycle at a technical product company
Proficiency with tools like PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Customer.io, SQL, Hex, Metabase, or similar
Ability to form a hypothesis, instrument it, ship an experiment, and interpret the result
Care about developer experience and business outcomes
Comfortable talking to users and inspecting raw product data
Notice tiny product and messaging details that others miss
Comfortable with ambiguity and can create structure from messy usage patterns
Bonus Points
Experience with developer tools, APIs, infra, AI products, or B2B PLG
Experience turning self-serve users into sales-qualified accounts
Experience with pricing/packaging experiments
Experience building onboarding, docs, lifecycle, or activation systems
Ability to write clear product copy and explain technical concepts simply
