About the role

Responsibilities

  • Connect Trust and Safety decisions to Mercor’s long-term health, expert trust, and client trust; prioritize business outcomes.
  • Own the Trust and Safety product end to end, including roadmap, signal detection, and enforcement actions.
  • Improve detection quality with data science and engineering by tuning models, prompts, and signals against real caseloads.
  • Reduce false positives while controlling false negatives and expand automated decisioning as accuracy improves.
  • Design products and workflows for operations analysts, with clear evidence standards, audit trails, and defensible high-severity decisions.
  • Write specifications and PRDs, build dashboards, query SQL, and make small code changes to validate direction and unblock progress.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, operations, legal, and go-to-market teams.
  • Work directly with strategic customers and analyze whether model changes improve business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Technical Program Management, Trust & Safety, Risk, Fraud, or a similar technical, operationally minded role.
  • Technical fluency with large datasets and AI agents; ability to reason about detection models and signals and communicate effectively with engineers and data scientists.
  • Systems-thinking mindset and strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership from problem definition through execution in ambiguous, adversarial environments.
  • Sound judgment when weighing false positives against missed fraud cases and making tradeoffs explicit and consistent.
