Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure
Design, build, and operate highly available distributed cloud infrastructure for a multi-cloud SaaS platform. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience, cloud and infrastructure-as-code expertise, and strong knowledge of networking and security.

Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure.
- Build a cloud-native platform on public cloud providers and automate cloud resource management.
- Collaborate with database development and security teams to deliver the SaaS offering.
- Improve routing and traffic components to increase cloud-service reliability and scalability.
- Apply distributed-systems best practices to systematically improve availability.
- Design and build security components and tooling, including firewalls, PKI and certificate infrastructure, and zero-trust networking.
- Improve infrastructure performance and cost efficiency.
- Lead and ship large-scope technical projects with experienced engineers.
- Debug production issues and contribute to data governance, efficiency, availability, and scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented language.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes.
- Experience developing cloud-native edge or service-mesh services; Envoy and Istio experience is preferred.
- Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards such as SOC 2 and GDPR.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, collaboration, ownership, and accountability skills.
- Strong production debugging skills and ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.
