About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and internal users of the Zus Platform to ensure the platform is meeting the needs of our customers, both internal and external.
  • Collaborate with team members and across Engineering to iteratively prototype and develop new functionality.
  • Provide technical leadership, contributing to the architecture and design of the team’s systems.
  • Build and operate data services driving our applications and APIs.
  • Coach others to become better engineers.

Requirements

  • Learn fast and enjoy open-ended technical challenges.
  • Interested in the business problems our customers face.
  • Experience with operationally stable, scalable, and cost efficient data services.
  • Enjoy owning your work and seeing it deploy safely in production.
  • Jazzed to build backend services in Go.
  • Experience using Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift or Databricks.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: deployment technologies (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Excited to enable a true digital revolution in healthcare.
  • Thrive amid the changing landscape of a growing and evolving startup.
  • Enjoy collaboration and solving unique problems.
  • In the Boston metro and excited to collaborate in person on a hybrid schedule, or are remote (EST/CST) but willing to travel for in person collaboration occasionally.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experienced in building and running large-scale systems in the cloud using Go.
  • Experienced in AWS DynamoDB.
  • Knowledgeable about application security.
  • Experienced in working with healthcare data and APIs.
  • Familiar with the FHIR and/or TEFCA standards.
