About the role

Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic partner across Stedi, using legal and regulatory expertise to further business interests, accelerate deals, and remove blockers
  • Partner closely with the Head of Legal to handle all of Stedi’s legal needs
  • Own customer contracting from first redline through signature, working closely with the Head of Legal to automate all but the most complex edge cases
  • Drive payer trading partner agreements and key vendor agreements to close quickly and within risk profile while maintaining rigorous compliance standards
  • Serve as Product Counsel for engineers and PMs building innovative offerings in a highly regulated environment
  • Improve, expand, and automate playbooks and workflows
  • Take on new areas based on interest and business needs

Requirements

  • Bar-admitted
  • Healthcare experience, whether through BigLaw or in-house (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to explain complex issues in plain language, write clearly, and communicate confidently with executives, lawyers, regulators, procurement staff, engineers, and others
  • Comfortable with high-volume work and shifting priorities while maintaining high quality through effective systems and habits
  • Thrives in ambiguity, creates structure from chaos, and can independently design scalable processes from scratch
  • Business acumen to blend legal rigor with strategic persuasion
  • Relentless and resourceful with professionalism and integrity
  • Moves fast and operates with precision in an environment where clarity, accountability, and urgency matter

Nice-to-Haves

  • Lived experience in the regulatory and commercial complexity of healthcare infrastructure, payers, providers, or healthtech
  • Eagerness to use AI and other technology to raise the quality and speed of work

Compensation

  • Annual compensation range: $250K-325K (OTE, inclusive of base salary and variable component)
