About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the founders on the highest-leverage problems across the company, spanning product, go-to-market, strategy, operations, finance, and hiring.
  • Own ambiguous, high-impact projects end-to-end (e.g. reshape pricing, lead discovery for new AI opportunities, prepare groundwork for launching a new product, rethink positioning based on customer and market research).
  • Research markets, ICPs, competitors, customer needs, and emerging trends in AI and developer tools to help define company growth.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to turn strategy into execution and ensure priorities are met.
  • Build AI-powered systems, automations, and internal tools to help the company scale.
  • Lead company-wide initiatives such as offsites, ESOP administration, certifications, compliance projects, internal tooling, or other cross-functional programs.
  • Own and continuously improve core business operations, including finance, legal, billing, vendor management, contracts, and other operational processes.
  • Act as an extension of the founders, working on whatever is most important to building the company.

Requirements

  • Technical background and comfortable writing code, working with APIs, and building automations (likely an engineer by training or experience).
  • Use AI extensively to research, write, analyze, prototype, and automate work.
  • Fascinated by startups, B2B SaaS, developer tools, and AI; enjoy understanding products, markets, customers, and company strategy.
  • Exceptionally analytical, structured, and able to quickly learn unfamiliar domains (pricing, legal, finance, compliance, go-to-market).
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous problems without a playbook and driving them to completion.
  • Communicate clearly, think independently, and earn trust across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Been a founder, an early startup employee, contributed to open source, built developer products, or have experience in a fast-growing B2B software company.
