Senior Facilities Engineer
Own and optimize critical facility infrastructure supporting AI data center operations, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, and building management systems. The role requires at least three years of facilities or critical-infrastructure experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with applicable safety and engineering standards.

Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of facility systems, including electrical distribution, UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators, HVAC, cooling/chiller plants, and building management systems.
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs; track and resolve facility work orders.
- Monitor facility health through DCIM and BMS platforms, identify anomalies, and respond rapidly to minimize downtime.
- Partner with construction and capital projects teams on expansions, retrofits, equipment upgrades, scope development, vendor coordination, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and applicable fire and life-safety regulations.
- Maintain single-line diagrams, equipment logs, maintenance records, and SOPs.
- Coordinate third-party contractors and vendors for maintenance, inspections, and emergency response.
- Support capacity planning by tracking power, cooling, and space utilization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 critical facility operations.
- Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other electrical safety protocols.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering, data center operations, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, UPS/PDU systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches.
- Experience with CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water plants, cooling towers, and precision air systems.
- Familiarity with BMS/DCIM platforms for monitoring and control.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, judgment under pressure, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hyperscale or colocation data center experience.
- Familiarity with Sunbird, Nlyte, or similar DCIM tools.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
- Commissioning and integrated systems testing experience.
- Knowledge of data center energy-efficiency practices, including PUE optimization and free cooling.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range of $90,000–$110,000 plus bonus.
