Enterprise Architect, Finance & Legal Systems

Responsibilities

Enterprise Solution Architecture

• Define the target-state architecture for Finance and Legal applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and growth objectives.
• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end architectural solutions for Finance and Legal systems, ensuring integration, scalability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap for modernization across ERP, FP&A, Legal, and Sales Compensation systems.
• Ensure systems are designed with identity-first security principles, integrating with Okta and other IAM solutions.

AI and ML Solution Design

• Architect and implement AI/ML-driven solutions to optimize finance and legal processes (predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, spend optimization, contract risk scoring, intelligent reconciliation).
• Partner with Enterprise AI team to operationalize AI/ML models within G&A functions.
• Working knowledge with LLMs like Gemini, OpenAI, or Claude.

System Integration and Data Strategy

• Ensure seamless data flow across ERP (NetSuite/Oracle), Coupa, Scout, Anaplan, Conga, and Xactly using APIs and middleware (Boomi).
• Define unified data models to support analytics and AI consumption.

Innovation Leadership

• Identify opportunities to embed generative AI, NLP, and LLM capabilities into core Finance and Legal processes.
• Lead functional and technical design, hands-on POCs, and AI-driven automations.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, Data, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams.
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure technology solutions.

Implementation & Governance

• Support/lead implementations of ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Coupa, Scout, Anaplan) and legal tools (Conga, DocuSign).
• Establish governance frameworks for data privacy, SOX compliance, and access control.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. TOGAF or similar certification a plus.
• Experience: 15+ years of software engineering, significant time as Architect/Principal in ERP (Oracle/NetSuite/SAP), FP&A (Anaplan), CLM (Conga/Ironclad). Multiple full-cycle ERP implementations.
• Deep understanding of Finance processes (Order to Cash, Record to Report, etc.) and Legal Ops.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite/Oracle, Conga, Anaplan, Coupa, Scout, tax engines (Avalara, Vertex, OneSource).
• Architected AI Agents using LLMs (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude).
• Proficient in middleware (MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, Informatica).
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP; data lakes/warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Identity & Security knowledge: SSO, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, Okta integration.
