Build and maintain core shared libraries, SDKs, and code-generation tools (gRPC, OpenAPI)

Abstract away complexity so product teams can ship features faster and safer

Design and optimize cloud infrastructure

Take ownership of AWS ecosystem (ECS, RDS, MSK, etc.)

Design architectures and debug production performance, tune database parameters, automate toil

Treat the platform as the product

Embed with product teams to understand friction points

Champion intuitive and helpful tools

Elevate observability

Debug distributed system failures

Improve alerting strategy and teach troubleshooting

Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep expertise in backend programming
- Significant experience building high-performance backend services or libraries
- Write readable, importable code
Cloud fluency
- Architected and managed production workloads on AWS or other clouds
- Experience with ECS, RDS, Lambda, data streaming services
- Understand cost, performance, complexity trade-offs
A DevEx mindset
- History of building developer tools
- Write clear, accessible documentation
Compensation
- Base salary: $250K to $325K
