Responsibilities
- Build and operate low-latency, event-sourced trading systems across matching, order entry, risk, and market data in cloud and colocated environments.
- Own reliability and correctness of 24/7 production systems processing high-throughput financial data, including incident response and failover design.
- Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and senior engineering leadership to translate strategy into quarterly deliverables and scoped milestones.
- Drive technical design decisions, produce clear proposals, and build consensus with peers and technical leads.
- Write high-quality, well-tested, performance-critical backend code focused on latency and throughput.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production trading, exchange, or financial infrastructure systems at scale.
- Deep proficiency in Java, C++, or Go, including JVM or Linux performance tuning for latency-sensitive workloads.
- Experience designing and operating highly reliable distributed systems processing high volumes with strict correctness and uptime requirements.
- Experience partnering with Product and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver complex technical projects on clear timelines.
- Genuine interest in cryptocurrency and institutional markets, with the ability to ramp quickly.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
