About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing site leads and own the finance relationship for each site.
  • Partner with the third-party labs team to analyze routing decisions and clarify cost trade-offs.
  • Run the operations monthly close, including pre-close and preliminary-close meetings, variance follow-up, and coordination with Cost Accounting.
  • Own the accuracy of manufacturing cost of goods sold (COGS), including fixed-overhead expense review and third-party lab cost validation.
  • Analyze gold and precious-metals margins to confirm pricing meets markup targets.
  • Improve the close process by reducing manual work, tightening timelines, and increasing reporting quality.
  • Build analyses supporting equipment purchases, manufacturing footprint decisions, and insource-versus-outsource evaluations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of finance experience, including meaningful experience in a physical-product business in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience partnering effectively with operators and translating between operational realities and financial impact.
  • Ownership of recurring processes such as a close, forecast cycle, or reporting cadence.
  • Strong modeling skills and proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfort automating spreadsheet work with Claude Co-Work or other AI tools.
  • Experience working with large, messy datasets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to distill complex analysis into clear executive recommendations.
  • Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity.
