Responsibilities

Coach your pods

• Carry roughly 10 pods, covering about 20 fellows across 8–12 host organizations, from pre-Basecamp through the final day.
• Review every fellow's pull request and provide structured written feedback on PRs, roadmap drafts, architecture proposals, and QBR deliverables.
• Facilitate weekly 1:1s with fellows and document their progress, challenges, and successes.
• Lead each fellow's Day 30/90/180/270 milestone review, synthesize fellow-level performance, and escalate relevant issues to the Delivery Manager.

Deliver the curriculum

• Deliver just-in-time modules designed by the curriculum team.
• Author lane- or pod-specific content when commissioned.
• Frame and debrief cohort-wide all-hands and sessions led by the curriculum team or guest instructors.
• Co-lead the Basecamp practical assessment with Anthropic instructors.

Maintain program quality

• Identify recurring technical patterns and raise them to the appropriate owners, including Claude Corps leadership, curriculum, partner experts, host-organization managers, or the Delivery Manager.
• Serve as the first point of contact when a fellow's technical work is at risk and surface escalations to the Delivery Manager.
• Use Claude and other AI-assisted development tools for code review, pattern spotting, and feedback at scale.

Success Metrics

• Surface the top three cohort-wide technical patterns to the Delivery Manager and curriculum team.
• Ensure host-organization managers can provide a concrete example of your impact.
• Complete and document every Day 30 review, with a plan for fellows whose work is at risk or ready for the next challenge.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience on a real team.
• Coaching or mentorship experience, formal or informal.
• Ability to review pull requests in unfamiliar stacks and provide specific, useful feedback.
• Production experience with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to explain how they changed your workflow.
• Generalist coaching ability and the judgment to find answers or involve the right subject-matter expert.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfort with remote synchronous obligations across US time zones and approximately two evening cohort sessions or milestone reviews per month.

Nice-to-Haves

• Teaching assistant, bootcamp coach, fellowship mentor, or instructor experience in a cohort program.
• Experience at a small or scrappy organization translating business context into technical decisions.
• Experience across at least two of web full-stack, data/AI engineering, machine learning, and infrastructure/DevOps.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary: $110,000–$124,500.
