Financial Analyst

Supports FP&A for Lyft Urban Solutions through budgeting, forecasting, close management, reporting, and long-range RFP bid modeling. The role requires strong Excel or Google Sheets modeling, cross-functional communication, and fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Own FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly financial reporting for leadership.
  • Support monthly close processes by reconciling actuals to budget, explaining variances, validating accruals, and coordinating with Accounting.
  • Synthesize financial data from Oracle, fleet systems, and P&L data into clean, documented models.
  • Maintain and improve forecasting models and reporting processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort, increase automation, and improve data accuracy and transparency.
  • Partner with Operations and Commercial teams on RFP requirements, cost assumptions, and bid-scenario modeling.
  • Build 10-year financial models for RFP bids covering fleet sizing, capital deployment, unit costs, and profitability.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to stress-test assumptions.
  • Create and present financial analyses, decks, and leadership summaries with performance insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner across Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets financial modeling and problem-solving skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, independent, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with month-end close processes, variance analysis, and GAAP accounting concepts.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Anaplan.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Spanish proficiency.
  • Background in shared mobility, capital-intensive businesses, or RFP/bid processes.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay: CAD $72,000–$90,000 for the Montréal area, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
