Specialist Solutions Architect, Payments

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to drive pipeline and revenue, educate product and engineering on market trends, develop customer relationships, and create reusable assets. As a Payments and Money Movement specialist, lead financial infrastructure transformations using Stripe’s Optimized Checkout Suite and Link solutions to maximize authorization rates, conversion, and revenue while reducing risk and fraud.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer teams to visualize, strategize, prioritize, implement, and measure impact with Stripe solutions
• Partner with customers to co-develop strategy for embedding Payments capabilities, focused on Optimized Checkout Suite and Link
• Work with leaders to define architectures simplifying payments, reducing costs/risks, improving rates
• Act as technical consultant on financial architecture best practices with Stripe
• Conduct deep discovery workshops on existing financial technologies
• Advise on change management and prioritize KPIs
• Create shareable architecture diagrams to accelerate deals
• Provide product direction recommendations
• Develop reusable assets like value drivers, solutions, best practices
• Stay current on technologies; showcase thought leadership
• ~25% travel

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years experience in payments, fintech
• Knowledge of ISO payment standards
• Designing payment flows/architectures for large enterprises
• Experience with global payment methods (BNPLs, Wallets)
• Optimizing payment experiences for checkout conversion
• Integration with payment hubs, banking, fraud/risk, sanctions, rails
• Knowledge in conversion improvement, cost optimization, compliance, reliability, cards expansion
• Large-scale enterprise infrastructure, multi-party platforms
• Persuasive presentation to leadership
• Strategic technology direction and communication
• Effective communication across audiences
• Ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Stripe or RESTful APIs
• Online/in-person payments, subscriptions
• Subject matter expert in relevant industry/product
