Responsibilities
- Drive the design, implementation, and reliability of foundational data platforms and systems, working with stakeholders and internal customers to understand and refine requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Identify opportunities and drive improvements to programming practices, including process enhancements and tool upgrades.
- Present technical information to teams and stakeholders, providing guidance on development processes and technologies.
- Mentor and lead teams on successful projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time engineering experience after graduation, specializing in backend systems and large-scale data storage, streaming, and warehousing systems.
- Experience with database technologies, streaming and processing solutions, indexing and caching systems, and data query engines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with containerization, deployment technologies, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms.
- Extensive software development experience and a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and data systems.
Nice to Have
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and CI/CD tooling.
